A Beautiful Christmas Holiday Planner

I'm excited to bring you my latest design in planners - A beautiful Christmas Holiday Planner.  It's available as a free printable download to Home and Garden Smatterings members!  A few years back I began using a Christmas planner to help stay organized and focused through the busy holiday season.  Using a holiday planner allows better time management.  Simply put, more time enjoying the Christmas holiday season with family and friends.

The planner design was made with printing in mind.  It looks good, yet won't wipe out the printer's ink.   I used these watercolor elements from to bring the planner to life.  I love incorporating nature into  holiday design and decor.  Using card stock for printing, as the cover  and recipe cards will hold up a better.

This planner has 24 valuable pages, and a beautiful cover page.  I'll guide you through a tour of the pages, but if you already know you want it, feel free to jump to the link below.

November and December Calendars

The Christmas Holiday Planner features both November and December Calendars.  The blocks allow enough space to jot down activities and events.  Then there's a task list running down the side of the page for reminders.

December and November Christmas Calendar Pages

Christmas Holiday Timeline

There are three pages complete with important tasks and additional space for adding your own tasks.

Card List

The card list tracker helps keep track of those cards sent and those received.  There's also a place to write down addresses as well.

Stay On Budget

The budget tracker helps make staying on track easier with spending on the different elements of Christmas holiday.

Black Friday List

Personally, staying up all night to fight over a t.v. in a crowded store doesn't intrigue me...at all!  I'd rather doing something called sleep.  Ha!  To each their own; I have some friends who love Black Friday and they helped me put together this page.  It includes a list of stores with their hours, items you've scoped out and details like whether there's a coupon needed.  Good Luck!

Cyber Monday List

Now, Cyber Monday is more my style.  This tracker is similar to the Black Friday List.  However, it has space for sale hours and coupons codes.

Gift Tracker

Using the gift tracker is awesome.  It has a place for the recipients name, gift ideas, how much spent on gift and whether it's been wrapped and sent.

Decorative Christmas Menu - FREE Printable

Christmas Menu

Planning a large family dinner can be overwhelming.  Creating a Christmas menu helps bring everything together.  Choose you main dishes, the sides, desserts and beverages.  Looking for some tasty holiday recipes?  Head over to my Pinterest board where I have some of my favorite ones saved!  Or better yet, check out some amazing recipes here on Home and Garden Smatterings; like the Roasted Garlic and Butternut Squash Soup.

Christmas Recipe List

Once you know what you want to make for the holiday season, make a list of them.  On this page is for writing down the name of the recipe and where it's located, i.e.; name of cook book and page number, website, etc.

Christmas Recipe Cards - FREE Printable

Christmas Recipe Cards

As mentioned above, using recipe cards you can gather and place in a convenient place saves time.  The recipe cards are designed to match the planner theme too.  Print on card stock and cut page in half.  I use a small 3 ring binder with clear plastic pages that I can insert the recipes into for safe keeping. Then place temporary tabs onto the pages that I'll be using.

Hint:
Use recipe cards for dishes you plan to use for the holiday season and put them in your planner or in a special box.  This will save time by not having to hunt them down when you need them.

Christmas Guest List

If planning a large holiday dinner with lots of friends and family, this Christmas Guest List will help manage the important details.  At a glance you'll know who has RSVP'd,  how many adults and how many young children there'll be, who is bringing dishes and what they are bringing.

Shopping List

This page is for major grocery shopping trips.  It's really helpful to group the items on where they're located in the store.  For example, list produce together, meats together, baking items together, etc.

Christmas Project Planner

The project planner is perfect for planning holiday DIY gifts and/or decor.  This page helps plan a project out. It provides space for pictures or a sketch, task list, materials/shopping list, notes and resources.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Planners

These pages were designed to help keep everything running smooth providing more time making memories rather than running around on overload.  Included in these pages are sections for the day's schedule, meals, to do list and a list of activities and entertainment.

Christmas Day Check List

The Christmas Day Check List is quite basic and simple.  It's blank lines broken down by morning, day and evening sections where you write down, with a brief description, those important little things you don't want to forget!

Christmas Traditions Printable

Christmas Holiday Traditions

Listing out your family traditions can be a fun family activity.  It also helps bring them front of mind so they aren't overlooked as the holiday season gets hectic.

Tips for Next Year

Ah, this is the final page and yet just as important as all the others, if not more.  This where you can review the holiday and write down what worked or what needs a little more work or "tweaking."

Be sure to check out the Ultimate Thanksgiving Planning Guide and Planner.  It includes cooking time table, a chart for how much to serve - really useful when cooking for large numbers, and a free printable download with 14 pages of must have information.
